YWCA of Malden

YWCA Malden's Encoreplus program uses a multifaceted approach that educates underserved women that are low-income, un-insured, under-insured, about the importance of breast health screening. Encoreplus builds relationships with other community organizations and individuals to increase access to services among these vulnerable populations. YWCA Malden has highly effective referral services to ensure the priority population receives necessary breast cancer screening and care.

Codman Square Health Center

The Breast Health Outreach and Education Program at Codman Square Health Center will seek to improve mammography rates in some of Boston's most ethnically diverse, low-income neighborhoods.  The program’s goal is to provide total, continuous, culturally appropriate care beginning with outreach to women about risks and the importance of screening mammograms for early detection, to yearly screening reminders, to follow through with abnormal results, until the patient then returns to routine screening. The program plans to reach 3500 minority, low income women with information on the importance of routine breast cancer screening.
