The TMC Breast Health and Education Program provides free screening mammograms and follow up as needed to uninsured women who do not qualify for other community programs. Often a place of last resort, the program strives to ensure that all women of southern Arizona have up to date breast health services and education available. Initiated in 1998 through a collaboration of grant funds, the program provides a continuum of care for patients who would otherwise not seek annual screening. The program also participates in numerous outreach events providing breast health education to the community. These efforts help increase early detection rates and improving treatment options.
