Full Circle: The Avon Breast Cancer Crusade

In late 2015, there were some organizational changes made at the Avon Foundation for Women. The Avon Breast Cancer Crusade was established as its own entity, separate from the Foundation. When we started working with Avon in 1993 it was called the Avon Breast Cancer Crusade, so we have come back full circle.

Beginning in 2016, both the AVON 39 The Walk to End Breast Cancer fund raising event series and all Avon-related breast cancer grant making are administered through the Avon Breast Cancer Crusade.

The Avon Breast Cancer Crusade is a new, separate entity that receives strong support from both the Avon Foundation and Avon Products, Inc. The funding strategy for breast cancer grant making has not changed. The Avon Breast Cancer Crusade will continue to work to increase access to medical advances and support services for breast cancer patients (with a particular focus on medical underserved populations) and invest in research towards the prevention, diagnostics and treatment of breast cancer in order to improve breast cancer outcomes. Funding is awarded to beneficiaries ranging from leading cancer centers to community-based breast health programs for awareness and education; screening and diagnosis; access to treatment; support services; and scientific research. Please change all references in your materials from the Avon Foundation to the Avon Breast Cancer Crusade. In addition, the team developed a new logo for the BHOP program that can be accessed on our website. It is important that current beneficiaries update their materials to reflect these changes. Feel free to reach out to us with any questions.
