BHOP News: October 2012

kathydiannephotoStepping Into Breast Cancer Awareness Month With BHOP

Every October, we celebrate National Breast Cancer Awareness Month and our BHOP team participates in the Avon Foundation's Walk for Breast Cancer in New York City. This inspiring five-borough walk gives us a special opportunity to renew our commitment to the dedicated grantees we support and the diverse communities they serve.
Earlier this year our Cica Tatas walk team grew, adding three new members: Jennifer Rose, BHOP Project Officer, her mother, Kathy Rose (a survivor) and our co-worker, Patti Abshier, who will be walking in honor of her sister, Debra Pacheco. Our three new team members join Tatas founders, Dianne Bal and Kathy Ferris, for the historic 10th anniversary walk on October 20 and 21.
Last year we had an incredible cheering section filled with friends, family, co-workers and grantees who cheered walkers on throughout the two day event. This year we hope to surpass our 47 person record and would love your support! If you aren't able to join in person, follow us on our website as the Cica Tatas proudly walk the walk!
